When I began the Master in Sustainabi lity Management & Business Impact at EADA Business School in Barcelona, I thought I was enrolling in a programme mainly focused on renewable energy, circular economy models, and responsible supply chains. Collbató is EADA Business School’s residential training campus, designed to develop leadership skills through experiential learning, self-reflection, and team-based challenges. Early in the International MBA (and other programs at EADA), students spend several days there working closely with classmates and professors in an immersive environment focused on personal and leadership development.

Every International MBA student at EADA gets a chance to put theory into practice during the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp, a week-long, hands-on challenge where students turn an idea into a pitch for real investors. In this article, I share my journey from brainstorming ideas to presenting our final solution — including the unexpected pivots along the way.

Starting a Master’s program in a new country is both exciting and challenging. A new city, new people, and new routines naturally bring a sense of anticipation and discovery. I remember arriving in Barcelona excited and curious about what to expect. Looking back, what stood out most was how intentionally EADA supports students from day one. From my very first days at EADA, however, one thing became clear: this is a place where students are intentionally supported and encouraged to connect.

Choosing to dedicate one year of my life to enroll in an International Master in Tourism & Hospitality Management at EADA is a huge milestone for me.This journey didn't start in a classroom, but years ago in the Rhodope mountains in Bulgaria.

Before starting my International Master in Marketing at EADA Business School, I knew the program had a strong reputation but I did not fully realize just how intense the first semester would be. Looking back now, I can honestly say that the first trimester has been challenging, but at the same time, it has been incredibly rewarding, and absolutely worth the effort.

In today’s business education, experiential learning plays a crucial role in preparing future leaders to navigate complexity, uncertainty, and real-world constraints. Our International MBA participants recently experienced this first-hand through the Corporate Challenge — a consulting-style project developed in collaboration with a real company. This year, the challenge was carried out with MANGO, one of the leading international fashion brands.
